Cut your commute time and save money with Metro Vanpool by gaining access to the SW Spokane St. Bridge (Low Bridge). King County Metro is offering new West Seattle vanpoolers the first month for free. Promotion runs until the West Seattle High Bridge reopens (mid-2022) or while supplies last.
Eligibility
New van participants commuting to or from West Seattle who have not participated in a vanpool in the last three months can start a new King County Metro Vanpool or Vanshare and the first month is FREE. Eligible participants may apply for additional subsidy to cover the monthly fare beyond the first month. The group must start with at least two participants who fill the driver and bookkeeper roles. The minimum van ridership may increase as our region moves into COVID recovery, but groups will receive additional assistance to help with recruiting efforts. The van group must meet all the King County Metro program requirements and policies and the commute route would typically travel on the West Seattle bridge if it was available.
Promotion runs until the West Seattle High Bridge reopens (mid-2022) or while supplies last. The first 10 groups that start a new King County Metro Vanpool or Vanshare are eligible.
